Business Information and Technology

Teaches basic business principles and skills ranging from keyboarding to advanced business applications. Occupational preparation courses focus on business and office practices and include a cooperative element wherein students may participate in on-the-job training. 

Courses Offered: 

Accounting, Business Law, Business Management, Computer Applications,Computer Info Systems, Economics & Personal Finance- required course for graduation, Keyboarding, Keyboarding Applications, Legal Systems Administration, Office Administration, Principles of Business and Marketing and *Word Processing (The Firm).

Certifications Available: Workplace Readiness Skills and Microsoft Specialist

Career Connections                                      

These courses are designed to provide employment skills for students with special needs. It provides experiences that help students make informed occupational choices. Instruction includes developing goals and values important for employment, occupational preparation, human relations, and independent living.

Family and Consumer Science

These courses are designed to direct and develop occupational skills, knowledge, attitudes and work habits that students need to prepare them for consumer and family careers.

Courses Offered: *Culinary Arts I and II, *Early Childhood Exploration I and II, Economics and Personal Finance (a required course for graduation), Life Planning, Nutrition and Wellness

Certifications Available: CPR, ServSafe, Food Handlers, NOCTI (a National Certification), and Workplace Readiness Skills

Health and Medical Sciences

Provides students classroom instruction and clinical practice in preparation for work in the health field. Students prepare to assist physicians and therapists in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, through hands on clinical experiences at health facilities.

*Horticulture

Assists students in developing the necessary knowledge and skills for employment in landscape design, greenhouse operation, nursery plant production, and turf management.
