Foreign Language

The Foreign Languages Office is dedicated to empowering students in foreign languages courses with the skills and competencies necessary for oral and written proficiency in the target language.

Students in the 21st century must have global learning opportunities that recognize that the natural boundaries are shrinking.  Language barriers must be removed through communication, connections, comparison and communities. Full acquisition of a foreign language leads to a deeper appreciation for cultures and people. The result is a student capable of becoming a productive citizen in the emerging global community.
