Returning Student Data Verification

Returning Student Data Verification for the current school year is now available! This process allows parents to review and update their currently enrolled PPS student information online. To get started, you will use the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access the Returning Student Data Verification form. Please verify your child's data by Friday, Sept. 17. 

How do I get started?

Visit https://portsmouth.powerschool.com/public and log in using your Username and Password. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, you will need to obtain the Parent Portal Letter from your child's enrollment school (it contains the information you will need to create the account). 

From the Parent Portal:

1.  Select the student you wish to verify along the top
2.  Select the Returning Student Data Verification Icon on the left side for 2021-2022.
3.  Agree to the terms and conditions
4.  Click Begin Forms

If there is information that requires verification of the school, please call your child's school and make an appointment to bring that information in for verification/approval.  

Items that require verification are:

  • Student Name Change
  • Change of Address
  • Change in Custody (if applicable)
  • New Affidavit of Legal Residency (if applicable)

Do I have to answer all the questions? Required questions are marked as "Required".

I can’t remember my login for the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you aren’t able to retrieve your login credentials using the “Having trouble signing in?” link on the Sign In page, please contact your school directly for assistance logging in to the Parent Portal.


I’ve completed the online form, now what?

When you have finished entering your information, click “Submit.” This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all required questions.
